We certify translations by means of an advanced electronic signature, which certifies that the translation was carried out by a qualified professional translator.
This signature is equivalent to a handwritten signature, granting legal validity to the translated document (Law No. 19.799).
This type of translation does not require notarisation before a Public Notary.

Same-Day Urgent Services: Urgent Translations
If you require the translation on the same day you request the quotation, it is considered “Urgent” and has a cost of $30,000 per page for the language pair Spanish << English >> Spanish.
Regardless of the amount of text, in this case you are paying for the right to be given priority service and to receive your translation before midnight on the same day.
Of course, if you require 100 pages for the same day, we cannot translate them; however, do not worry—if we are unable to do so, we will not take the job and may even recommend services offered by colleagues.
Urgent translations operate only if the translation is ordered before 13.00 hours.
Translations with Delivery in 24 Hours or More.
If you are arranging your translation with sufficient advance notice and do not require it on the same day you request the quotation, you may access the following special rates and even volume discounts.
- The cost is $25,000.-, which is the minimum rate for one page certified with an advanced electronic signature, for the language pair from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English.
- However, we offer a discount starting from the second page, depending on the level of difficulty and the document format. Therefore, depending on your needs, we can discuss your specific case. In cases where the quality of the copies is excellent, the price may be reduced to $20,000.— per page for the Spanish >> English >> Spanish combination.
- The delivery time is, in general terms, less than 24 hours or within the following day, or, depending on workload and format (transferring information from PDF to Word in order to translate), a maximum of a couple of days. In the case of an advanced electronic signature, the process is expedited.
- In addition, we respect the format of the document; therefore, the translation closely resembles the original document. A “Translation Certificate” is also included in the language into which the document is translated.
- Each translated page includes the statement “… faithful translation …” together with the translator’s details and signature, which is what is meant when referring to a “certified, sworn translation or any similar term”.
Other Languages: French, Italian, Portuguese, German.
Other languages, such as French, Portuguese, Italian (Romance languages), including German, have a cost of $30,000.- per page. However, I do not accept urgent requests in these cases, as they take longer to process (my colleagues are not in the same time zone). In any event, for up to approximately 5 pages, we can process them in less than 48 hours.
Most Common Documents Ordered for Translation and Certification
- Academic transcripts, secondary education certificates.
- Academic degrees, diplomas.
- Civil Registry certificates: birth, marriage, criminal records, civil union.
- Driving licences.
- Bank statements, balance certificates (we convert pesos to dollars with a translator’s note).
- Powers of attorney, minutes, financial statements.
- Company incorporation documents, certificates of good standing.
- Court judgments, health authority resolutions.
- Documents issued by the Internal Revenue Service (SII).
- Full study programmes from universities or professional institutes, Chilean or international.
- Others (whatever you may need).
We guarantee accuracy and punctual delivery; all assignments are delivered within the timeframe agreed with the client. If we are unable to deliver within the timeframe you require, we simply do not offer the service.
Payment Methods and Special Services
- The payment method is by electronic bank transfer, with 50% payable at the start and 50% at the end of the process. For this purpose, we provide current account details together with the quotation.
- The remaining 50% is payable upon approval of the translation that we send you for review. We provide a second current account in case your bank does not allow transfers to the same account within the first 24 hours.
- There are no additional costs, since, in the case of an advanced electronic signature, the PDF form we send you is sufficient for any type of procedure you wish to carry out.
Summary of the Process for Translating and Certifying Documents
- The client sends the documents (high-quality scans) through our contact form or directly by email.
- A quotation is prepared and, once accepted, 50% of the agreed amount is transferred.
- Once the 50% deposit is received, the document format is recovered and, once completed, we proceed with the translation.
- Once the document has been translated, it is sent to the client for approval.
- If there are any observations, the necessary changes are made and the documents are resent to the client.
- Once the client confirms that the translation has been completed and approved, the remaining balance (50%) is transferred.
- Upon receipt of the outstanding balance and with the client’s approval already obtained, the translation is certified by means of an advanced electronic signature and dispatched immediately.
- The client receives the certified translation by email.

Differences Between a Certified Translation and an Official Translation
In Chile, a certified translation is carried out by a qualified professional translator, who certifies the fidelity of the content with respect to the original text by means of an advanced electronic signature or, in some cases, notarisation.
This type of translation has full legal validity both in Chile and abroad, and is characterised by being more accessible in terms of cost and delivery times, and may even be processed on the same day. By contrast, an official translation may only be issued by translators employed by and forming part of the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Obtaining such a translation involves higher costs, longer delivery times—generally one week—and is reserved for specific procedures, such as customs formalities or dealings with government authorities. In practice, for most personal, academic, or commercial documents, a certified translation is sufficient and legally recognised.
